Our MISSION:
To provide emergency services to stranded, disabled and mentally-ill travelers,
low-income newcomers, runaways and homeless and at-risk residents in crisis.

We at Travelers Aid of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) are proud to be one of Atlanta's premier 501(c)3 social
service agencies, serving more than 9,000 people annually (38% of our clients are under the age of 18)
through case management, crisis intervention, resettlement, emergency food, transportation and
lodging to individuals in their greatest time of need

Travelers Aid Executive Director Edward Powers accepts one of many loads of supplies generously donated by BELFOR in the wake of Hurricane Katrina's wrath of the Gulf Coast Region. BELFOR also made a donation of $8,000 to the agency. Ironically, BELFOR is the premiere disaster recovery company in the United States and is playing a vital role in the Gulf Coast reconstruction process, while helping displaced evacuees here in the Atlanta area.
